"Objective 7: Develop trainings, resources, and communities of practice to implement standards.   In April, CSG Justice Center staff continued planning for the Advancing Data in Corrections Conference for August 2024 by submitting documents to BJA for approval.

"Objective 4: Establish core competencies and standards for developing hiring materials and resources for CAs and DOC leadership to assist in hiring qualified analysts and for trainings CAs in software tools, key methodological topics, and data sharing.    In April, CSG Justice Center staff continued developing the first three self-guided online courses for the Virtual Academy program.

Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff drafted the first lesson for the Virtual Academy program, which is an introduction to R.

"Objective 5: Place data analysts in residence at State DOCs to increase the utility of data for decision-making while also building the corrections analyst workforce.    In April, the RCA made progress with the protocols and metrics write-ups. The data input has been written out and is being reviewed by CSG Justice Center staff. Additionally, CSG Justice Center staff and CCJBH met with the Steinberg Institute to learn about how they use the dashboard and the data. "

The RCA began building calculations for the measure in dashboard B that only requires the PreClass table.
