While there, CSG Justice Center staff had the opportunity to speak with individuals working in different roles at the facility including a parole officer, and the facility director. Mar. 11: Attended the March meeting of the Legislative Recidivism Reduction Task Force to provide the Task Force with a presentation of evidence-based practices. (16 participants representing 14 agencies)

Mar. 11: Meeting with Ben Gilmore (Arkansas State Senator and Task Force Chair), Tawnie Rowell (Executive Director of the Arkansas Sentencing Commission and facilitator of the Task Force), and Howard Beaty (Arkansas State Representative) to provide updates on the status of the project’s data requests and discuss next steps for the project. (3 people representing 4 agencies)

Objective 4: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making.
Meeting with Jordan Reardon (Justice of the Peace) and Mary Navarro (Judge Pro Tempore) from Globe Regional Justice Court to introduce them to the project. They opted in at the end of the meeting.
