This is third session in the learning community series titled "Strategic Planning for Law Enforcement - Mental Health Collaboration". In this web session the focus was on Law Enforcement and Homelessness and the webinar covered the following topics: common challenges in responding to people with mental illnesses experiencing homelessness, strategies to improve law enforcement responses to this population, and the importance of collaborating with the homelessness service system.

The coaches provided assistance in completing the implementation guide and time task plan. Coaches also helped to review their staffing plan and sent resources to the grantee to assist the facility in keeping youth safe from sexual abuse.

Identified vendor to create PREA video for inmates and staff. Identified TA provider to help with script development.
TMG Coach has been engaged with NJDOC on monthly calls and via frequent emails to develop a script for their PREA video along with video producer and consultant.

The goal of the site visit was to provide a greater working knowledge of the Seminole County Juvenile Mental Health Collaboration Planning Project grant initiative and to devise additional strategies to enhance the implementation and long-term sustainability of the project. With the assistance, guidance and support of the CSG Justice Center staff, this one day site visit will include work on understanding the following:
1)???Overview of the project
2)???Evaluation and outcomes discussion
3)???Review and discussion regarding successes and challenges
