A site visit was conducted in Charleston, West Virginia on November 11 and 12 to connect with key legislative and executive stakeholders about the executive order to form the working group, attend interim session hearings, and meet with additional stakeholders to perform qualitative analysis.
11/10: In-person meeting with FWD.US: CSG Justice Center staff met with Conrad Lucas (Lobbyist, Right on Crime), Jordan Burgess, Elissa Johnson (VP of Criminal Justice Campaign), and Tinsae Gebriel (VP of Criminal Justice Research and Policy) to discuss the WV project and their policy goals for the 2025 session. (4 people representing 1 agency)
October 16 -18, the CSG Justice Center staff traveled to North Carolina to meet with NC DAC staff and House Justice Public Safety Members to present preliminary findings of North Carolina's JAC project
