On June 27th, 2024, Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) held their annual convening of community partners and data evaluators. The CHJ TA coach for the grantee spent the morning meeting their community EMS partner to discuss their mobile integrated health initiative. They then met with the behavioral health community provider and spoke with their recovery coaches about their community outreach and post overdose response strategy.

The Restorative Justice Education in Treatment Courts project includes a pilot site collaborating with a mid-coast Maine drug treatment court (Belfast, ME) and a local community-based restorative justice center (Restorative Justice Project Maine) to help the Maine drug court infuse restorative justice principles and practices into the program approach. Robert Sand and Marc Wennberg hosted a three-day planning summit in Maine in late June 2024.

The first in-person convening of the second cohort of Reaching Rural fellows will bring together 85 rural practitioners from across the country to expand their leadership skills, engage them in project and systems planning, and highlight successful and innovative strategies to address SUD in small and rural communities.
