The combined in-person meeting was held to bring members from GAC, GESC, and CICC together to discuss justice information sharing issues.

First of six planned bi-monthly virtual meetings to be held in 2023. The bi-monthly meetings are a new addition are meant to keep members and observers updated on GAC/GESC projects in between regularly scheduled in-person meetings.

Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council Virtual Meeting - Held as one of three annual meetings. The Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC), a group under the Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global), supports the development and promotion of resources for local, state, tribal, and territorial law enforcement and homeland security agencies in their efforts to gather and share criminal intelligence to better serve and protect communities nationwide.

Virtual Global Executive Steering Committee Winter 2023 - Held as one of three annual GESC meetings. This virtual meeting focused on information sharing strategies within the criminal justice communities and the development of new policies, strategies, and technology implementation related to justice reform and change. The winter 2023 meeting of the GESC was held to provide direction and planning for the upcoming Global Advisory Committee (GAC)/CICC in-person meeting in Washington, DC.

Deliverable 1: Documentation of national policy, practices, and technology solutions as developed by Global and the Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC) as recommendations to BJA and the Attorney General.

Deliverable 2: Collaboration with partners to coordinate program design and delivery of services including training and technical assistance (TTA).

Deliverable 3: Planning and coordination with governmental and private agencies to support national initiatives.

Part of the role of the training division according to the grant is to provide opportunities for “broad constituencies, including regular Community Academies for citizens, professionals, and public safety officials” to learn and build skills. This brief online training was offered to a consortium of Vermont community justice center staff and focused on expanding RJ to include reimagining how RJ can look in mainstream spaces, particularly within the Black community.
