In September 2015, Center staff had a phone call with Ralph Andrew from Bristol Bay Native Association (Alaska) to discuss strategic planning assistance for the tribe’s BJA reentry planning grant.

In September 2015 Center staff had a check-in call with Chief Judge of the Colorado River Indian Tribes to discuss next steps for community court implementation. Center staff also sent suggested interview questions for hiring tribe’s new community court coordinator.

In September 2015, Center staff had a call with Aneth Community Court to discuss assessment tools.

In September 2015, Center staff maintained email correspondence with Johanna Farmer regarding the upcoming technology assessment site visit.

In August of 2015, Center staff also conducted an email conversation with Diane Whitson, Coos Bay Tribe Re: budget modifications and training opportunities.

In August of 2015, Center staff provided information on the NY state resource through Office of Children and Family Services. Staff also recommended that if the custody involves a native child, they should familiarize themselves with the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) which will govern a lot of the process
