On May 15, 2017, premier leaders and practitioners from across the justice landscape convened for the Spring 2017 Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) Advisory Committee (GAC, Committee) Meeting at the Office of Justice Programs offices. To maximize resources and provide opportunities for Global engagement by an even greater range of subject-matter experts (SME), the majority of hands-on Committee efforts are conducted virtually.

IIR staff members maintain regular contact with the chair and vice chair of the Global Advisory Committee (GAC), as well as with the Designated Federal Official of Global, to ensure that Global Executive Steering Committee (GESC) Planning Sessions are adequately prepared for, including arrangement of meeting logistics, development of meeting agendas, follow-up of assignments and action items from previous meetings, notification to membership of meeting logistics and agenda items to be discussed, facilitation of the meetings, documentation of meeting proceedings, and processing of reimbursem

IIR supports the efforts of the Bureau of Justice Assistance’s (BJA) Justice Information Sharing (JIS) Training and Technical Assistance Committee (JTTAC) through the planning, agenda development, hosting, and action item follow-up of standing bi-monthly conference calls. For this reporting period, JTTAC virtual meetings were held in January, March, and May. However, staff is always monitoring TTA and JIS community activities with an eye toward JTTAC conference call agenda items and resources and activities of interest to relay to the JTTAC team.

The PPWG met to review the current privacy policy template draft and discuss all the input to date, to include the current unresolved issues and action items from the previous meeting.

The Fusion Center Privacy Policy Update Working Group (PPWG) met to review the proposed changes to updating the template and discuss the edits for the draft.

The Client is requesting technology assistance from the BJA/IJIS Institute TA program to address and focus on the following areas:
• Development of a comprehensive data sharing plan
• Identify justice and health exchanges
o moving from paper exchanges to electronic ones
o Identification of priority performance measures
o Definition for each measure and the data elements needs
• Determination of methods for centralized data and performance measure reporting

The NFCA Social Media/ROSA Working Group Chair met with PM-ISE and IIR support staff to discuss the feedback submitted on the toolkit draft from the NFCA Executive Board and and proposed edits to move the resource closer to draft completion.

The Client is requesting technology assistance from the BJA/IJIS Institute TA program to address and focus on the following areas:
• Development of a technical assistance plan, including SDSA project goals
• Prioritization of jail data collection through:
o Clarification of the goals of the SDSA data committee
o Identification of priority performance measures for jails.
o Definition for each measure and the data elements needs
• Determination of methods for centralized data and performance measure reporting by:

IIR provided its quarterly ISE Privacy Briefing to PM-ISE /PE-ISE staff on the completed project and current projects during the reporting period of November 2016-February 2017.

To finish development and draft documentation of a detailed approach to using NIEM and JSON for JSON instances and schemas; provide the information needed to support the public release of the PMO’s Search and Schema Builder tool.
