Premier leaders and practitioners from across the justice landscape will meet for the Spring 2018 Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative (Global) Advisory Committee (GAC, Committee) Meeting at the Office of Justice Programs offices. To maximize resources and provide opportunities for Global engagement by an even greater range of subject-matter experts (SME), the majority of hands-on Committee efforts are conducted virtually.

In October 2017, IIR assisted in the coordination of a face-to-face meeting with members of the NIEM PMO, the NBAC, and the NTAC in Rosslyn, Virginia. The meeting included separate NBAC and NTAC sessions, as well as joint sessions of both groups and the NIEM PMO.

IIR SMEs and support team facilitated a discussing with some NFCA Executive Board members to address their feedback and concerns with the Fusion Center P/CRCL Policy Template draft.

Meeting hosted by IIR with PE-ISE staff to discuss the feedback/project delay in vetting the Fusion Center P/CRCL Policy Template draft with the National Fusion Center Association Executive Board and next steps for completion.

IIR SMEs and Georgia Bureau of Investigation staff discuss the recommended edits to the Face Recognition Policy Development Template to address National District Attorney's Association language revisions.

This meeting was hosted by the IIR team lead of the Face Recognition Policy Group to discuss the feedback submitted on the FR policy template from the International Association of Chiefs of Police with support team, SMEs and stakeholders.

IIR hosted a meeting via teleconference to discuss the recommendation for the Face Recognition Policy Template by DOJ’s Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties (OPCL) to remove item 2.B. regarding an entity’s breach notification policy. Because the removal of this language impacts both the Fusion Center Privacy Policy Template and the FR template, as well as the majority of DHS-approved fusion center policies that use this language throughout the country, IIR wanted to ensure this recommendation was discussed further with DHS partners as well.
