During this reporting period, the Urban/Manatt team produced drafts of the national policy guide, intended to provide state and local justice and health care officials and other partners with a clear, practical roadmap for improving health care for justice-involved populations. The policy guide was provided to BJA for final review.
During this reporting period, the Urban team produced drafts of the performance measurement brief, intended to provide state and local justice and health care officials and other partners with a clear, practical roadmap for improving processes for gathering the best data to serve their populations. The policy guide was provided to BJA for final review.
A policy brief describing six strategies that Arizona and several Arizona counties have implemented in recent years to connect justice-involved people with Medicaid coverage and care when they are not incarcerated and to maintain coverage continuity for Medicaid enrollees who become incarcerated. These strategies served as critical practice examples for the CCJH work in Maryland and Los Angeles County.
