The Newark Mentoring Movement has provided and continues to provide mentor training focusing on the basics of mentoring to topics discussing the mentoring of young men of color. Along, with training Newark Mentoring Movement facilitates the MBK Newark Mentoring Collective.The collective is a group of 15 mentoring organization who have coalesced around a series of goal to move the mentoring community forward. My Brother's Keeper Newark has identified three focus areas:

All young men complete H.S.
All young men complete College
Violent crime is reduced for young men of color

Since mentoring is a cross-cutting strategy which permeates through out each one of the aforementioned
focuses, the TA provided will help us achieve our goals/focuses. Whether it be training or meeting facilitation NMM's work has and will continue to be integral to a successful mentoring eco-system here in Newark.
