Honalee Gallegos, Vice President of Idaho Juvenile Justice Association invited me to speak at their conference in September. BJA approved this request. David Flores, Chief Probation Officer for Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and Kimberly Cobb attended the Idaho Juvenile Justice Association Meeting on September 13-16, 2015 to network with tribal-state probation officers as well as provide a 90-minute workshop session on the importance of culture when supervising American Indian supervisees placed on community supervision. The audience was comprised of tribal probation officers as well as non-tribal probation officers who supervise American Indians on their caseloads. A total of 65 individuals attended this session.
