Bristol Bay contacted FVTC to request tribal probation training specific to the supporting supervisory role of Village Public Safety Officers such as a condensed Tribal Probation Academy. Approximately 3 conference calls were hosted with FVTC and Bristol Bay. An additional 2 calls were hosted with FVTC's project partners CCI and APPA. After these follow-up further follow-up discussions, it was identified assistance directly related to their Purpose Area #3 award goals/objectives implementation was a greater priority. Their project is focusing on developing a plan for a re-entry program for alcohol and substance abusing offenders. The initial request for an abbreviated Academy would be more appropriate once their Purpose Area #3 project is in place, and more VPSO's in the region have the supporting supervisory roles. The training request was transferred over FVTC's IASAP TTA award to follow through on virtual and onsite training.
Please check the box next to the following questions if the answer is 'yes'.
The TPA TTA project staff will continue to remain involved throughout the Purpose Area #3 assistance as to stay informed of progress of their reentry project and identify next steps as it relates to planning follow-up probation training.
