The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Healing to Wellness Court/Drug Court reached out to the Tribal Law and Policy Institute requesting guidance and technical assistance in how to include their Healing to Wellness Program mission into their Tribes' Law and Order Code. Their court was recently funded by the Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance.

Jones, coordinator with the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes Healing to Wellness Program/Drug Court requested assistance in including their Healing to Wellness Program mission into their Tribes' Law and Order Code. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute responded by sending a copy of our "Policies and Procedures Guide," which includes a chapter on Wellness Court statutes, referring to our Wellness Court statutes webpage available on www.WellnessCourts.org, and offering additional offsite technical assistance regarding the drafting and editing of the proposed statute.
