The City of Las Vegas Municipal Court Pretrial Services Unit is seeking training and technical assistance on the use and research of evidence based practices within its pretrial processes. The primary focus of this request is in regards to the implementation and interim use of the PSA-Court risk assessment tool for making Municipal Court pretrial release decisions. It is also our intention to develop and simultaneously conduct our own research and evidence-based data collection, to later be used in the formation of a locally validated version of this assessment tool. This information is then to be further shared with the criminal justice community, through our organization’s newly enhanced pretrial information sharing ability. Training on evidence-based decision making, data collection and research management is therefore being requested, as is technical assistance on the implementation, use, and validation of this type of evidence-based risk assessment tool. BJA NTTAC successfully referred this request to an appropriate TTA provider.

By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
