Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees
In November, TDCJ reported that they successfully graduated 29 participants from cohort 5 on October 29 and 23 graduates from cohort 6 on November 7. TDCJ reported that since its implementation in April 2024, graduated 116 participants have successfully from the Anger Management on Parole program.
TDCJ completed the implementation of the GoTo Webinar software and launched cohort 7, which began on November 18 with 82 participants enrolled. TDCJ reports that cohort 7 is now closed and the remaining 69 individuals remaining on the waiting list will be enrolled in cohort eight. TDCJ is having discussions with the budget office around hiring a Program Specialist 1 under the grant. This position would assist the Community Corrections Officers (CCOs) with assessments and enrollment into cohorts now that the program is up and running successfully.
