Virtual Course: In October 2024, all seven course modules, quizzes, and student handbooks were completed and the package submitted to BJA for review and approval. By the end of this reporting period, the course package was still in review by BJA.
In the next reporting period, once BJA-approved, the course will be registered with, and reviewed by, the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST), for certification and will be uploaded to an Absorb platform and web content developed, including student instruction, and published to the CenTF website.
Podcast Series: In the five-part podcast series, titled Proactive Policing in Today’s Society for Multijurisdictional and Specialty Enforcement Units, the outlines for podcast 3, “Considerations for Specialized Policing Units,” and for podcast 4, “Developing Effective Task Forces” were completed and subsequently approved by BJA in November 2024. Several planning calls were conducted. Note: During this period, several significant schedule conflicts for podcast panelists affected the development timeline. As such, work on these podcasts will continue into the next reporting period.
