The CSG Justice Center Housing Team kicked off the Zero Returns to Homelessness (ZRH) National Cohort with a virtual orientation and launch call with the 6 jurisdictions selected for the Cohort through a competitive application process. The 6 jurisdictions represent state and local criminal justice systems across states, Tribal Nations, and county / local jurisdictions, as follows: Idaho: State DOC, State Housing and Finance, City of Boise / CoC, GEO Reentry Services; Kentucky: City of Louisville, Goodwill; Michigan: State DOC, State Dept. of Health and Human Services; Montana: Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Missoula City and County; Oregon: State DOC, Multnomah County; Wyoming: Natrona County Health Trust, Natrona County Community Action Partnership / Healthcare the Homeless. The orientation call provided each of the site teams to meet and learn more about each other and their team compositions, oriented the teams to the ZRH concept and ZRH Cohort process, timeline, and goals, and exposed the teams to an initial goal-setting exercise which will be followed up on with in-person TA exercises at the upcoming SCA Conference in December of 2024. In the new year, each state team will meet with an assigned TA coach on a monthly basis to begin work on the planning of their ZRH housing initiatives.
