Objective 1: Individualized Technical Assistance to Grantees In July, CSG Justice Center staff continued to meet with PADOC regarding staffing changes within the agency. PADOC has hired a full-time grants manager set to begin in two weeks . The deputy secretary of PADOC Deputy Secretary resigned from his position and the new Deputy Secretary will begin the week of July 29. PADOC reports that the case manager hired for the Pittsburgh District is working on inputting all participant data in the joint CSG Justice Center and PADOC spreadsheet. The case manager has entered three of the four parole agents' caseloads into the system. A follow-up meeting with the case manager and CSG Justice Center staff is scheduled for August to address formulation and population issues once all participants are entered into the spreadsheet. The Harrisburg and Chester Districts' vacant case manager positions have been tentatively filled. The Harrisburg case manager began on July 7 and is currently undergoing parole-mandated training. The Chester District has made a conditional offer and is pending acceptance. Currently, the Pittsburgh District has 84 program participants and 4 parole agents, Harrisburg has 32 program participants and 2 parole agents, and Chester has 44 program participants and 2 parole agents.
