Buy In - Community, Chief of Police, and Sheriff is bought into the idea of an adult pretrial deflection program similar to the juvenile program they already have in place
Upcoming meeting (10/15/24) with local municipal court judge and judicial probation supervisor
They have the power to create the positions necessary to start the adult program
Received referrals from the school district for restorative justice work
Received referrals from the police department for restorative justice work with youth
Working with Alamosa on their restorative justice work which has been useful and is ongoing

Bureaucracy - county handles the youth but does not have the same role with the adult population in the courts
Staffing - no one is willing to house the positions

By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
