CSG Justice Center Staff conducted a virtual site visit with the FY21 JMHCP Winchester-Frederick Northwestern Community Services Board team. During the second day of the site visit, on February 15, 2024, the TA Coach facilitated a connection with another TA Coach to discuss the differences between post plea mental health docket structures and pretrial dockets. The attendees had the opportunity to discuss their docket style and the pros and cons they identified for their post plea docket.
The TA Coach then facilitated an overall discussion around lessons learned over the last 2 days of the site visit, strategies to increase referrals to the docket and ways to make the docket more enticing to individuals to increase engagement. The TA Coach reviewed documents and resources that had been sent to the grantee team to discuss which aspects of the resources they would like to incorporate into their program.
The TA Coach and grantee created a next steps list of action steps that both parties will work on prior to the next TA Call.
