CJI staff are conducting a comprehensive system assessment of North Dakota's criminal justice system. This involves collecting qualitative data on reentry-related policies, services, and needs from system actors across the state, as well as background research analyzing statute, court rules, agency policies, and other related materials. CJI will present these findings alongside quantitative data in a final report, and the information will provide support to Working Group members during the policy development stage of the Phase I Process.
Staff have conducted virtual interviews and traveled to North Dakota to conduct in-person interviews on the following dates: 3/18-3/21, 4/16-4/19. CJI has conducted system assessment interviews with stakeholders from the following agencies:
