TLPI staff made introductions and discussed TLPI TTA and process. The Cher-Ae Heights team is as follows: Nicholas “Nic” Mazanec – Chief Judge for Trinidad Rancheria Tribal Court; has a background in Indian Law and work as an appellate judge for other tribes; Zack Brown – is the Project Planner with Trinidad Rancheria Tribal Court and he used to be on Tribal Council, work in the community with youth and adults, he attends ceremony every year so close with many families in the community; Angie Easterling – Wellness Court Manager, and she is getting their Healing to Wellness Court up and ready to go, and she has been in the substance use and mental health field for about 33 years –working with women with substance use disorders and working in probation. This is her first time working in Tribal Court; Megan Yost – Tribal Court Administrator, was at Humboldt County Child Welfare and Social services before this. and is excited to have this grant and have TTA providers that are responsive. TTA Plan reviewed and advised there will be monthly check in call so take the time to review the TTA needs, and the materials shared so we can discuss TTA Priority on the next call. Catherine mentioned we work collaboratively with the TLPI drug court team so if we ever need to pull someone in, let us know. The Trinidad team will think about a time that works for their team to have a monthly meeting with TLPI. TLPI will send slides and evaluation link.
