7/11/23: Video meeting with state senator Cindy Rosenwald (Chair, Governor’s Opioid Abatement Trust Fund and Advisory Commission) to inform her about the project and hear her thoughts on how we can best present the findings and policy recommendations to the commission she chairs. 7/18/23: Video meeting with Thomas Velardi (County Attorney, Strafford County) to hear his thoughts on how to best use our time presenting to the Opioid Abatement Trust Fund and Advisory Commission and to discuss potential meetings during the August site visit. 7/24/23: Video meeting with Julianne Carbin (Director, Bureau of Mental Health Services, New Hampshire DHHS), Henry Lipman (Director, Medicaid, New Hampshire DHHS), and Katja Fox (Director, Division of Behavioral Health, New Hampshire DHHS) to discuss continued data analysis, potential implementation, and technical assistance.  7/27/23: Video meeting with Commissioner Helen Hanks (New Hampshire DOC) to receive an update on the letter of interest and discuss the next phase of the project. 3 Phone Calls in August with 5 participants representing 3 entities. 8/3/23: Video meeting with state representative Robert Lynn (Member, Governor’s Advisory Commission on Mental Illness and the Corrections System) to update him on the findings as an Advisory Commission member. 8/22/23: Video meeting with state representative Sherman Packard (Speaker of the House, New Hampshire Legislature), state representative Steven Smith (Deputy Speaker of the House, New Hampshire Legislature), and Debra Childs (Deputy Chief of Staff, New Hampshire House of Representatives) to inform them of the project and provide an overview of the findings. 8/23/23: Video meeting with state representative Terry Roy (Chair, House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee) to inform him of the project and provide an overview of the findings. 9/06/23: Phone call with Keith Johnson (System Development Specialist VI, Department of Corrections) to identify the specific categories and structure of the data that the DOC will contribute to the project.   9/19/23: Video meeting with Commissioner Helen Hanks (Commissioner, New Hampshire DOC) to provide an update, discuss future expectations of the Commission on Mental Illness and the Corrections System, and solicit her thoughts on jail recommendations and CSG Justice Center staff’s presentation to the Committee to Study the Long-Term Impact of the New Hampshire Adult Parole System. 9/20/23: Video meeting with Keith Johnson (System Development Specialist VI, Department of Corrections) and Andrew Chalsma (Director of Data Analytics and Reporting, Department of Health and Human Services) to outline the partnership dynamics and clarify procedures related to data submission, analysis, and the project timeline. 9/21/23: Video meeting with County Attorney Tom Velardi (County Attorney, Strafford County) to learn more about his new role as the Director of Public Policy with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s office and how engagement can continue in his new role. 9/27/23: Video meeting with Keith Johnson (System Development Specialist VI, Department of Corrections) to deepen CSG Justice Center staff’s understanding of the data within their systems.
