Submitted by Hope Fiori on

As part of CHJ's intensive TTA, individual calls will be scheduled with new FY22 grantees. Initial introductory calls included discussion about: the grantees project and deflection initiative; identifying top priorities the grantee have for their program over the next 3-6 months; and discussion to determine at what level of readiness is the grantee’s program currently at to implement these priorities.

8/16 Introductory call was completed with grantee. Initiative is a Naloxone Plus pathway. They utilize a data system shared with 33 other departments throughout the area. They utilize Kelley Associates for research but they are not an official partner. No OFR for this initiative as of yet. Priorities over the next 3-6 months are focused on outreach to varied communities they serve to provide information about the services and support they offer. They want to build an awareness of the services that officers are able to provide. They also want to build upon their ability to provide services and support to children who are either present at the point of crisis or have been affected by substance use, not only limited to support children that have been affected, but they are also exploring substance education for children that may be at risk of developing SUD.
