This is a three-module webinar delivered over three weeks. The audience is those individuals working in training units or assisting in curriculum development. The modules build off each other and include developing a personalized training evaluation and analyzing data to show a return on investment for training. There is a facilitator guide, PowerPoint presentation, intersession homework, added resources, and videos of the pilot of the three webinars to the training directors of the nine on-site visit agencies.
Observations showed very little training evaluation that was beyond the level one evaluation. In fact, there was little understanding of effective evaluation and how to use the information beyond how the facilitator was received.
Modules
Module 1: WHAT is an outcomes-based evaluation, and WHY is it important
Module 2: HOW to design your own outcomes-based training evaluation and WHEN to implement
Module 3: Introductory data collection and analysis of outcomes-based evaluation
Each module ends in homework or intersession work to be utilized in the next module/session
Throughout the sessions, there are feedback polls to give live feedback to the facilitators and learning checks throughout.
Examples are given to illustrate concepts, and the facilitators engage participants in discussion throughout every concept being taught.
This will be provided as a technical assistance opportunity for a minimum of three classes by The Moss Group. In addition, this course will be available for any agency that would like to provide to their teams.
