During this site visit, CSG Justice Center staff conducted a site visit with The National Incarceration Association Inc. team in Roswell, GA. On the first day, NIA staff provided an overview of the visit, CSG staff met NIA staff members and learned about the services they provide, met with Fulton County Sheriffs Department Financial Systems Manager to discuss the CSCR project goals and posed questions to initiate conversation on the partnership between NIA and Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, participated in a discussion with service providers listed in the grant (Arise Recovery, Stand, Inc, and Project Restart ATL) on the cross-collaboration between all the reentry and crisis partners, and learned NIA's concept of case coordinators in the program and gained clarity on the case coordinator role. On the second day, CSG staff met with NIA staff to review the plans for cross-system information sharing, data collection and reporting to support ongoing project goals and sustainability through a presentation on the data collection database Zoho, presented on using collaborative comprehensive case planning to incorporate all critical behavioral health and criminogenic risk and needs information, and discussed and determined next steps for focus during the remainder of the grant period and going forward.
