Four FY23 CTAS PA 3 Grantees attended this virtual meeting via zoom on 01-23-24.
The TLPI Team walked through overview of TLPI, the TLPI program, introduced the Tribal Courts team, the TTA process, and how to request TTA, gave an overview of recent publications, the TAJI website and other pertinent information. We also shared Tribal TTA partners and contact information.
Each grantee representative in attendance shared about themselves and then what they are addressing or currently focusing on in terms of issues/concerns/goals of their current CTAS PA3 grants. They also expressed any current resource/TA needs. Resources and an evaluation were shared with each grantee following the meeting. Kiana Gachupin, from Jemez reported having only 3 staff at the Court currently, Judge is new, she is new in her role of Court Clerk/Administrator, and they have a probation officer. They are looking at alternative sentencing and having everyone cross-trained, they will need alot of assistance with all staff areas. Interested in manuals for probation, court clerk, bench book for judge, and also want a case management system.

- The benefits or anticipated outcomes from the receipt of TTA services.
By submitting this application to BJA NTTAC, I understand that upon approval of this application for TTA, the requestor agrees to keep BJA NTTAC informed of any circumstances that may impact the delivery of the TTA, including changes in the date of the event, event cancellation, or difficulties communicating with the assigned TTA provider.
