oÊÊ 2/27 Justice Counts met with Gabriel Nims, Coordinator of Criminal Justice Initiatives, Bernalillo County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council, Linda Freeman, Executive Director of the New Mexico Sentencing Commission, and Douglas Carver, Deputy Director of the New Mexico Sentencing Commission regarding the opportunity for Bernalillo County to participate in Justice Counts.
oÊÊ 2/27 Justice Counts met with Cassie Hayne, Chief Technology Officer for the New Mexico Judicial Branch and Darryl Ackley, Chief Technology Officer, Institute for Complex Additive Systems Analysis (ICASA) at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology to discuss the Justice Counts initiative in New Mexico and how the effort can be bolstered or integrated with the Judicial BranchÕs dataXchange.
oÊÊ 2/28 Justice Counts met with Grace Phillips, General Counsel for the New Mexico Association of Counties, to discuss how Justice Counts in New Mexico can benefit county jails and other criminal justice agencies.
oÊÊ 2/28 Justice Counts met with Secretary Alisha Tafoya-Lucero from the New Mexico Corrections Department to discuss Justice Counts. Prison and community supervision data are regularly shared with staff from the New Mexico Sentencing Commission, which will share these data via Justice Counts on behalf of the Corrections Department. Secretary Tafoya-Lucero expressed her support for the initiative and confirmed that NMSC can share data on behalf of her agency. ÊÊ
oÊÊ 2/28 Justice Counts met with Damion Bradford, Chief Technology Officer, and Brandy Toward, IT Operations Manager, with the New Mexico Administrative Office of the District Attorneys (AODA) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Discussion included those data currently collected by AODA, how data are shared with DAs across the state, and how AODA may participate in Justice Counts.
