In this fourth virtual session of the leadership academy, consultant Liz Bullard of Greys Peak Strategies discussed Leading with Compassion and Getting Things Done. For more than two years, leaders have been thrust into the role of CEO: Chief Empathy Officer. They have shouldered the emotional burden demonstrated by helping teams recover from grief and loss of the pandemic, holding up the mental health of their employees and being sensitive other people’s anxieties. At the same time, leaders have been expected to make tough decisions to move their organization and teams forward. Leaders have had to do hard things like give people tough feedback or let someone know they no longer have a job. During this session, participants reviewed and identified where they are on the Wise Compassion Leadership Matrix and identified actionable steps to increase compassion and wisdom to get things done.
