PRC TTA coaching staff initiated outreach via e-mail correspondence to this grant site's designated point of contact to coordinate and schedule a conference call. A call was held on March 26,2015 with the Massachusetts team for the purpose of identifying their training and technical assistance needs and determining how the PRC can best support this site's implementation of their grant. During this call, the PRC TA coaches reviewed the key program aspects of the grant and asked clarifying questions about site-specific priorities and implementation challenges. This needs assessment process will help the PRC TTA coaching staff to better understand the range of proposed activities and to identify core technical assistance needs shared across multiple sites. This process will also inform the development of a TTA plan for the BJA FY '14 PREA demonstration grant sites. The PRC TTA coaches also described the range of materials and support available to the agency.
This is a BJA PREA demo grant site. The major goal of the grant is to host a 3 day regional PREA conference with workshops on a variety of PREA topics. The agency has ask for a 1 year extension to the grant. They are looking to host this conference in the spring of 2017. They are about to hire 2 positions that the grant has funded. These 2 positions are titled Instructional Designers. They will be tasked to work on developing the content of the proposed workshops.
This is a BJA demo grant that proposes to hold a regional conference in February 2017.
I had a conference call with Rey and his conference planning team this morning. He indicated that he has tried to reach out to both the BJA PREA Management Office and the BJA Grant Program Manager wanting to share with them the progress of the grant and to get their guidance related to the approval of the content of their conference. I indicated to Rey this morning that I would pass this along again to the PRC leadership and ask them to connect with BJA and indicate that the agency is wanting to talk with them.
