The CJI team is conducting a comprehensive system assessment and statutory analysis for the Nebraska criminal justice system. The qualitative analysis portion of this assessment includes statutory and administrative rule review as well as a variety of interviews with stakeholders across Nebraska's criminal justice system. Information and findings from this system assessment will be used to support the Working Group during the policy development phase of the process. The team also anticipated to include initial system assessment findings in the materials that are presented to the Working Group at the next meeting at the Governor's mansion, in early August.
