Every year, the Center holds two in-person convenings with the statewide coordinators with one to occur the day before that year's NADCP conference and another that typically occurs in the fall. Due to the continuance of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's statewide coordinators' roundtable (that is typically held in conjunction with the NADCP conference) was held via a video conference platform for remote attendance on Friday, May 21st. The agenda included federal agency and TTA provider updates, including Bureau of Justice Assistance, Tribal Law and Policy Institute, the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, and the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. services. The meeting also included a presentation from the Center's own Saadiq Newton-Boyd, co-director of Project Reset, alongside renowned artist and performer Shaun El C Leonardo. This presentation provided an overview of art therapy as an evidence-based practice in substance use disorder treatment, describe the
use of art therapy as an integrated recovery support programming tool, and provide information to guide the introduction of art therapy into adult drug court programs. The meeting was attended by about 40 coordinators.
