As part of the monthly reach-out to Denton SAKI, we were able to schedule their Virtual Site Visit.
Amy Durall, Jim Markey, and Paige conducted a Virtual Site Visit with Denton SAKI to discuss their objectives, current activities, and how best to support victims in the City of Denton.
Conversation focused on how to go back and review the list of Cold Sexual Assault Cases to be sure they have captured all of their partially tested kits as well as how to determine which of those SAKs they would test; victim notification practices and policies that they could adopt; and how to organize a case review process.
Sent follow-up items from Virtual Site Visit. Most were resources that I had sent prior to the site visit.
One follow-up was providing the input from Amy Durall and Jim Markey on their victim notification plan. They recommended adding definitions around when and how to notify victims, which were mentioned during the call. This was putting those recommendations in the comments to have them documented.
