LeVar Michael and Matt Perkins with LISC Safety & Justice presented on separate panels for the IACP-organized virtual meeting of CBCR sites funded in fiscal year 2019. LeVar presented on lessons learned during the planning phase and in particular on managing cross-sector partnerships and authentic community engagement. Matt spoke in a panel on lessons learned from project implementation, in particular on project and partnership sustainability, highlighting the important role local CDC's can play in long-term community strategies with the partnership between ONE Neighborhood builders, Rhode Island LISC and Providence Police Department as examples.
