In this reporting period, the NPF project team presented their action plan to MPD with the findings from the remote site visit in December 2020. An internal steering committee was established to determine which priority area MPD would like to focus on, and it was decided that the focus would be on gun crime as well as the fear of gun crime within the community. The project team provided MPD and the PIO with a targeted social media training to establish a posting plan and a roll out on how to communicate the work they are doing with CS360 to the community. MPD later put out a press release to inform the public about CS360 and the work that was being done to reduce gun crime in the city. The NPF team also developed some gun crime metrics for MPD to use. MPD established an Advisory Team to oversee the CS360 implementation in Manchester as well. The NPF team and SMEs provided a workshop to the members to establish the roles and responsibilities of the group. The second Advisory Team meeting was also held and the Advisory Team is currently working to establish a PST to address gun crime and the fear of gun crime.
