NCIA will compile data and complete an evaluative summation regarding the number of PIECP workers who obtain post-release empoyment as they transition back into the community. Despite previous reporting that CI programs do not track post-release employment for PIECP workers separate from all CI workers, NCIA identified one PIECP certificate holder that indicated they were tracking PIECP workers separately. NCIA hopes to identify their system and then provide training/technical assistance to other certificate holders in replicating it.

NCIA's Grant Manager conducted a survey of all 29 active PIECP Certificate Holders to ascertain if any PIECP Certificate Holders are tracking post-release employment statistics of PIECP inmates separately from their non-PIECP inmates. At the conclusion of the 2019 survey, NCIA was informed by Tennessee's CI program that they did, in fact, track PIECP inmates separately and NCIA's goal was to identify if the system had been solidified, and if so, to see if they could provide TA support to other PIECP Programs so that it could be replicated. Three (FL, NC and TN) of the 29 active certificate holders respondended that they did in fact track post-release employment for PIECP inmates. However, after detailed follow-up by NCIA's Grant Manager, it was determined that they did not track PIECP inmate workers separately from other inmate workers.
NCIA's Grant Manager completed the follow-up activities with the three certificate holders who originally responded that they do track post-release statistics for PIECP inmate workers separately and confirmed that while they do track post-release for PIECP and non-PIECP inmate workers, they do not track PIECP workers separately. As a result, there are still no PIECP Certificate Holders who track the post-release statistics of PIECP inmate workers separately from other inmate workers. NCIA's Grant Manager compiled the one-page summary report, which will be appended to the semi-annual report in JustGrants.
