In California, Center staff Monica Christofferson, Alejandra Garcia, and Jarred Williams continued to work with representatives of the California Association of Collaborative Courts (CACC), Francine Byrne and Carrie Zoller, to assist the state’s efforts to develop and enhance state-based coordination, services, evaluation, and training. Specifically, Center staff will support the state’s migration toward data standardization by advising on the creation of data definitions and performance measures as well as assisting in the implementation of best practices for data collection and standardization. Center staff shared information and resources related to what and how other states and organizations tracked data, including how the Center’s research department collects data on racial and ethnic disparities. Center staff also reviewed the final draft of a list of statewide data definitions to be used by all collaborative courts in the state and made suggested edits to its language.
