Understanding the dynamics of sexual abuse and sexual harassment in confinement as required by PREA standard 115.31(5). This knowledge is critical for all confinement staff to ensure sexual safety for inmates and staff. The workshop will address: What is meant by "The Dynamics of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Harassment in Confinement?"

The importance of this knowledge and how it relates to preventing, detecting, and responding to sexual abuse and sexual harassment in confinement. How sexual abuse and sexual harassment present in confinement settings and how staff can recognize and respond to signs of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. How understanding these dynamics contributes to a culture of sexually safety and security.
