Virtual site visit conducted with Amy Durall to discuss victim notification. Amy gave a 30 minute presentation on key aspects of victim notification, including who should be involved, how to plan for the victim notification, and what to expect from the notification. The presentation was followed by an hour discussion on what role the AG's office should play in victim notification.
Amy recommended the Oklahoma team think of 5 scenarios of victim notification to brainstorm the different levels of involvement the AG's office will have to support local jurisdictions. She also recommended Oklahoma begin thinking about the various training and webinars they could develop to educate local law enforcement on the victim notification process.
Oklahoma gained valuable insight to victim notification protocols and asked critical questions about what role the AG will play in victim notification.
