During regular LISC conversations with CBCR site leadership, we have noticed that sites benefit greatly when hearing about safety strategies from their peers. Specifically, program coordinators (PC) found it beneficial when they spoke with one another. Through monthly PC peer networking calls, LISC wants to increase opportunities for PCs to interact with the full complement of their CBCR peers. These meetings will allow PC’s to introduce themselves, their sites, ask each other questions, hear about programs that have achieved success, share struggles, and have the conversation led by a former PC and current CBCR SME, Donna Griffin. The May call again focused on various community engagement efforts underway within CBCR sites. Tucson and Chicago presented on their innovative efforts (Resource Café and Hot spot charette) and sites were able to ask questions of each program coordinator. Donna also spoke about the role of the program coordinator and how to stay in the “manager” role rather than drift into the “worker” role. Post call, LISC received very positive feedback about the quality of these calls.
