CHJ invited practitioners who are experts in the field of diversion to be part of the First Responder Led Diversion Training Curriculum Advisory Panel. Their work on this panel will lead to the development of the first training curriculum for First Responder Led Diversion for individuals with severe opioid or substance abuse disorders. The advisory panel will serve a vital role in guiding the field of law enforcement, and first responder led diversion. The goal is to develop a training curriculum that could serve as a core curriculum for first responder agencies. The advisory panel will meet twice before September 30. The initial meeting of the Advisory Panel will be held virtually.

CHJ had the first of many meetings with practitioners to assist in the development of the training curriculum. After the initial meeting, CHJ requested training curricula from a select few of the practitioners on the advisory panel to help guide the curriculum's length and subjects. As of July, CHJ is still gathering information from select members of our advisory panel and meeting outside agencies concerning the best way to train and on what platforms. 9/30/20 CHJ is working on the initial draft of the curriculum.
In September CHJ began research software platform consultants to create a virtual learning platform for online training modules.
