Milestone Description

CHJ and New Castle Delaware conducted the initial call on January 17, 2020, when the site expressed interest in being matched with a mentor site. CHJ paired New Castle with Plymouth County Outreach, East Bridgewater, MA, on February 10, 2020, and determined that the week of May 13 would be the optimal time for both sites to meet. Due to COVID-19, CHJ arranged staggered conference calls for both sites to meet in until travel restrictions are lifted. We have maintained contact with the New Castle and assisted with providing resources on peer recovery support training via Altarum. During the COSSAP National Forum, we introduced both sites to one another, and we believe it has helped develop a stronger working relationship between the sites. CHJ plans to switch in-person site visits to virtual site visits so that mentees can continue to take advantage of the benefits of mentorship. New Castle met with their Mentor for multiple conference calls for their virtual visit. Calls were held: 4/28/20 (1.5 hours); 1/20/21 (2 hours); 1/21/21 (2hours).
