APA reached out to Ms. Diane Balkin to ask her to participate in this webinar, and she agreed. The e-mail exchange over the course of that week included details about what was expected of the presenter, discussion of possible dates and times for the practice session and the actual webinar, and how long the presentation was anticipated to run. Due to COVID, planning and communications took a little longer.
The presenter provided APA with her presentation deck, which we were able to edit with grant information. Additionally, the presenter provided a PDF version of her slides and her headshot/biography for promotional purposes.
Future plans include providing this and other Capital Litigation webinar Powerpoints as online and downloadable resources for prosecutors. APA is currently working on uploading these resources to its member page to make these resources available online.
This dry run served to prime the presenter on the GoToWebinar software. We also discussed the basic format of the webinar and what to expect. This took place the day before the webinar.
