The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center hosted the orientation webinar for the 2019 Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program, awarded from the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). In this required webinar, staff from BJA will also participate and provide an overview of the grant Category 2 Strategic Planning For Law Enforcement and Mental Health Collaboration requirements. CSG Justice Center staff will explain the training and technical assistance opportunities, the Planning Guide, Police-Mental Health Collaborations Framework, and other resources available to law enforcement grantees. A current or past grantee will also discuss how they have leveraged their JMHCP grant to support change in their community. This will be an opportunity for your grant team to meet all of the 8 grantees in the 2019 cohort. There will be time for questions, answers, and discussion.
