During this TTA, IJ selected recommended grant recipients, received an approval from BJA for project sites, notified applications of their award decision and invited potential grantees into the project, this included formally registering sites for the TIPS program.

IJ provided to BJA a memo that detailed the grant background, application and scoring process, recommended sites, and sites that were not selected
IJ developed award letters for 2 different categories of grantees, those whose plans and budgets may need major revisions, and those who would not. These letters reflected this distinction and provided a link for sites to formally register with the TIPS program. Additionally, IJ developed letters for applicants who were not selected for funding. This letter included information on how to get feedback on their applications and other TTA opportunities.
During this process IJ notified applications of award decisions and requested that applicants register with PREA TIPS.
Note: The completion date was 1/10/2020 as this was the due date for participants to register with PREA TIPS, but the registration of applications began prior to 12/31/2019. Because this was not completed until after the reporting period, I marked this as 95% complete.
Impact Justice made 34 sub-recipient agreements, or sub-awards from the PREA TIPS program to locally operated smaller corrections facilities totaling: $ 2,735,955.30; of those 31 have been fully executed.
This milestone included drafting and streamlining a quarterly progress report for all of the PREA TIPS sites and coaching reports from our project partners, Vera, and CCLP.
During this reporting period, 2 new sites (Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Delaware County Sheriff's Office) joined the TIPS grant program. Of the previously reported TIPS facilities, 9 sites withdrew from the grant program due to Covid related challenges and insufficient staff capacity.
