MSU continued to work closely with BJA, EOUSA and Main and the sites, both competitive (FY12-FY17) and formula, to transition to national level funding.

MSU continued to provide the active PSN sites (i.e., FY15-FY17) with information via email on funding, training and technical assistance, and new resources as well as guidance with the transition into FY18 formula funds.

MSU continued to conduct weekly calls with BJA to discuss and address TTA needs.

MSU met with Kate McNamee in DC at BJA/OJP Offices on July 18, 2019 to discuss PSN TTA activities and direction for both FY15 and FY18 funds.

MSU continued to maintain the PSN website as a resource for TTA needs. The website is: http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html

MSU updated PSN Research Foundations and Research Literature, McGarrell, E.F., H. Perez, R. Carter, and *H. Daffron. "Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN): Research Foundations. Bureau of Justice Assistance Training and Technical Assistance Report".

MSU worked with PSN FY17 sites, Birmingham, Puerto Rico, and Wilmington on grant activities, strategies, timelines, SAP submission, and VRAT.

MSU continued to provide support to the field, BJA, EOUSA and Main with data collection and submission and performance metric reporting.

MSU fielded questions regarding the FY2018 and FY2019 PSN Solicitation. The requests for information were shared with BJA. Some examples include guidance with SAP completion, acquisition of a Research Partner, strategic problem solving, data and analysis capacity, and research foundations.

Julie Wartell, a long time PSN SME, began to outline and gather resources to update and tailor the “Analyzing Crime” webinar: https://www.bja.gov/programs/spi-webinar.html
The new webinar will be finalized over the next few months. The webinar will be made available on the MSU PSN website (http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html) as well as the new psntta.org website.

MSU continued to maintain the VRAT (https://psn.cj.msu.edu/vrat/index.html) and make it available for the criminal justice field. Grant funds were used to support the ongoing work of Natalie Hipple to analyze the VRAT responses. Natalie also began developing an outline with Ed McGarrell to create a non-fatal review webinar. The webinar will be fully developed over the next few months. The webinar will be made available on the MSU PSN website (http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html) as well as the new psntta.org website.

Ed McGarrell, Bob Hood, a long time PSN SME, and Heather Perez presented three sessions at the PSP Symposium in Memphis, TN, on September 9-11, 2019 (https://www.nationalpublicsafetypartnership.org/Home/ItemsOfInterest/Su…). The Powerpoint presentation will be used develop an outline for a Sustainability webinar. The webinar will be fully developed over the next few months. The webinar will be made available on the MSU PSN website (http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html) as well as the new psntta.org website.

Phil Figura, a highly recommended SME, and Heather Perez also presented at the PSP Symposium in Memphis, TN, on September 9-11, 2019. Three sessions on Victim/Witness Cooperation strategies was offered. Phil is creating a one-page resource document. The resource will be available in the next few months and will be on the MSU PSN website (http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html) as well as the new psntta.org website.

MSU began creating a legacy document, a "Blueprint" to capture Competitive year lessons learned, TTA support provided and foundations to sustain PSN efforts. The document will be finalized the in the next few months and will be on the MSU PSN website (http://psn.cj.msu.edu/index.html) as well as the new psntta.org website.

The MSU Team presented at the Innovations Suite Researcher-Practitioner Fellows Academy, July 30- August2, 2019 in Denver, CO and at The NAC, in Columbia, SC on September 4, 2019.

Ed McGarrell and Heather Perez conducted a site visit on September 24-25, 2019 for the Northern District of Texas/Dallas at the request of the site for a "health check". The District previously had competitive funds and currently has formula funds. An assessment of previous and current efforts and strategies was reviewed to provide guidance for continued successes and innovations.
