How do you anticipate that the requested assistance will address the problems?
To help SLMPD externally communicate with both the public and media, by building community relationships and improving service to the local media while expanding its crisis communication efforts. Specifically the training will assist the department with achieving the following objectives,
1. Establish positive, professional relationships with media outlets.
2. Commit to making every reasonable effort possible to work with the media to inform the public about criminal incidents as well as the department’s mission and accomplishments.
3. Respond to media inquiries as accurately, completely, and quickly as possible.
