In-person workshop at IACP 2019 Conference on "Effective Approaches to Combatting Human Trafficking": Promising practices demonstrate that human trafficking is best addressed with a multi-disciplinary, collaborative approach combining the efforts of local, state, and federal law enforcement, prosecutors, victim services providers, and other key stakeholders. This workshop will illustrate the benefits of applying these practices to address both forced labor and sex trafficking at the local level, through frontline examples of successes of these critical partnerships. Panelists will discuss innovative methods for identifying human trafficking victims and developing cases which support successful outcomes for victims, investigations, and communities.
