LISC’s Safety & Justice team was honored to be invited to participate in this year’s 2019 National Forum for Black Public Administrators conference held in Orlando, Florida from April 3rd –April 5th. The Safety & Justice team represented LISC by serving on a panel during the Path to Strong Safe Communities workshop where we were able to highlight the team’s collective problem solving model as well as discuss our work through BJA’s CBCR grant program. The conference served as a great opportunity to showcase some of the amazing work that the LISC Safety & Justice has been doing in communities across the country. Participants of the conference were overly excited to have LISC represented at the conference and were equally enthused to learn more about ways their jurisdictions could apply for future CBCR funding through the Department of Justice.
